Short-Term Mission Trips

Transform Lives. Strengthen Communities. Grow in Compassion.

Mission Team at Work

More Than a Mission. A Life-Changing Journey.

Since 2004, RUN Foundation Uganda has been reaching underserved communities with quality healthcare and the hope of the Gospel. Through our Short-Term Mission Trips, we welcome international teams—comprising healthcare professionals, students, and volunteers—who are passionate about serving, learning, and creating lasting impact in Uganda.

These mission trips are immersive experiences that combine professional practice, cross-cultural exchange, and spiritual growth. Participants work alongside our local teams to deliver compassionate care, mentor young healthcare trainees, and share in our vision of holistic healing.

The Purpose Behind Every Mission

Building bridges between immediate needs and lasting transformation

These missions are not just about temporary relief

Collaboration

Working hand in hand with local practitioners and students to strengthen healthcare delivery.

Capacity Building

Transferring skills, knowledge, and techniques to local healthcare providers for sustainable impact.

Cultural Exchange

Learning from Uganda's vibrant communities, values, and resilience while sharing global perspectives.

Faith in Action

Demonstrating Christ's love through compassionate service that heals body and spirit.

Your Role During a Mission Trip

Every participant contributes to lasting change

Direct Field Service

Participate in Evangelistic Community Outreaches, providing free dental, eye, and general health services in rural areas. For many, you'll be their first healthcare provider.

Clinic Follow-Up Care

Work at our Community Children's Clinic in Bamba, providing specialized care for children referred from outreaches, ensuring continuity of treatment.

Training & Mentorship

Guide aspiring dental and medical students at Galilee Health Institute, developing their clinical skills and passion for community service.

Evangelistic Engagement

Share messages of faith and hope, join local believers in fellowship, and witness how physical and spiritual healing work together.

Spring Bible Camp

Engage in discipleship training, equip business leaders and youths with transferable skills in IT, Business, Photography, etc.

Hands-On Healthcare Delivery

Our mission trips take you beyond hospital walls into the communities where healthcare is needed most. You'll set up mobile clinics in rural villages, treat patients under trees and in community centers, and experience the raw reality of healthcare disparities.

This is where textbook knowledge meets real-world application, where clinical skills are tested in resource-limited settings, and where every treatment brings immediate, visible relief to those in pain.

Uganda's Natural Beauty

Experience the Pearl of Africa

While service is at the heart of your mission, Uganda offers an unforgettable backdrop for reflection, adventure, and cultural enrichment. Known as the Pearl of Africa, Uganda's breathtaking beauty and welcoming people make every moment here meaningful.
